Executive Summary
Two small actions have unusually good leverage today: test Discourse’s new Markdown representation on a community topic, and reserve a free place at Neo4j’s NODES 2026 conference. The first makes forum knowledge easier to archive, search, and feed into responsible AI workflows; the second offers a concentrated look at GraphRAG, agent memory, and traceable context systems.
Action Queue
1. Test Discourse’s native Markdown endpoint

Discourse now serves topics and topic lists as processed Markdown. Append .md to a topic URL, or request Accept: text/markdown. Unlike the older raw representation, the new output resolves Discourse-specific syntax and preserves useful structure such as images, lists, and tables.
Why it matters: This is a clean ingestion and preservation boundary for community knowledge: less HTML parsing, fewer wasted tokens, and an immediately readable format for local tools, archives, and personal knowledge bases.
Recommended action: Try the .md suffix on one public Discourse topic, save the result, and compare it with the HTML page before adopting it in a crawler or archive. Self-hosters should update Discourse; installations using the older Discourse-to-Markdown plugin should follow Discourse’s migration note.

2. Register for NODES 2026 and bookmark the agent-memory sessions
Neo4j’s NODES 2026 is a free, 24-hour online conference on November 12 with more than 100 live sessions. The agenda centers on GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, multi-agent systems, durable agent memory, and traceable context. Andrew Ng and Neo4j co-founder Emil Eifrem headline the keynote conversation.
Why it matters: The event is unusually aligned with practical questions around explainable retrieval, persistent context, and connecting AI systems to structured knowledge. Registration creates an easy option to attend selectively or use the agenda as a reading map.
Recommended action: Register, then shortlist only the sessions on GraphRAG, agent memory, and Model Context Protocol. The official page also has free Road to NODES workshops, including an October 29 agent-memory session and a November 5 hands-on memory-layer session.

Machine-readable community knowledge is becoming a first-class web interface
Discourse’s endpoint is more than an AI convenience. A stable, processed Markdown view can serve personal archiving, offline reading, citation capture, diffing, search indexing, and local-LLM retrieval without coupling those workflows to presentation HTML. The durable note is the interface pattern: when a site offers a semantic text representation, prefer it over scraping rendered pages—but preserve the canonical URL and check access controls before ingesting content.
