This file is the canonical source roster for the Personal Technology Intelligence Report (PTIR).
Publishing rule
Before researching, drafting, emailing, or publishing PTIR material, review the current version of this file. Treat additions and deletions here as authoritative changes to the source universe. Do not silently restore a source that has been removed.
A source being listed does not guarantee inclusion. PTIR should extract signal rather than aggregate everything available.
For claims discovered through podcasts, Reddit, newsletters, social media, or other secondary/community sources, verify important factual or actionable claims with primary or authoritative sources before elevating them in PTIR.

Gmail handling rule
When an inbox email is actually used as PTIR source material, mark that source message as read. Apply this to both Gmail accounts. Do not mark a message read merely because it was scanned or considered.

Podcasts — Overcast subscriptions
Podcast feeds are discovery/intelligence sources. Use episode descriptions, transcripts when available, official show notes, and links cited by hosts. Do not expose private or premium RSS URLs in public PTIR material.

Heard Today
PTIR should include a short Heard Today section when the day’s subscribed podcasts surface useful material. Prefer 1–3 high-signal items rather than filler. Items can come from technology or nontechnology shows when relevant to technology, teaching, research, projects, security, AI, PKb, or other PTIR interests.
Strong podcast discoveries may graduate into Action Items, Teaching Ideas, Watch List, Project Paranoia, PKb candidates, or other PTIR sections once appropriately verified.

Verification hierarchy
For important factual or actionable claims, prefer verification from:

- Vendor announcement or release notes
- Security advisory
- Original research
- Primary-source documentation
- Multiple reputable independent sources when no primary source is available
Editorial filters
Before including an item, ask:
- Is it relevant?
- Is it useful enough to deserve the reader’s attention?
- Can important factual or actionable claims be verified?
The objective is signal extraction, not aggregation.
